Although residents of Washington, we had never been to this little town east of the mountains and found there was much to see and do. After a long drive from Seattle, we found our chosen B & B exceeded our expectations for its comfort, warmth and peacefulness. After an early dinner in town (where there are some very good restaurants), we returned 'home' to spend a quiet evening with a good book in a little seating area just outside our first floor bedroom, before enjoying a good night's rest in a wonderfully comfortable bed. The breakfast was plentiful and imaginative, providing us with enough nourishment to skip lunch, and before we set off on our final morning, we had to explore the garden which fell away from the house, over the creek and up into a little meadow-like area. We were there in late autumn but would love to go back in the spring. All in all, a perfect spot to wind down, retreat from the busyness of life and return home refreshed.
