Aysgarth Station Bed & Breakfast Bar Harbor, ME

My wife and I have been visiting Bar Harbor, ME since 1982. We have stayed in all types of accommodations - camping, hotels/motels, B&B's, even at College of The Atlantic - but Aysgarth Station is a gem among them all. Jane and Steve work very hard to make sure their guests have a wonderful experience; conversation is stimulating, and the food is great (with an added extra of diet-busting goodies in the afternoon)! The location is perfect - a short walk to downtown and no parking worries (off-street parking). Our family has always loved Bar Harbor & Acadia and now we have another reason to return.

Hill Farm Inn Arlington, VT

Great food (try the blueberry pancakes or french toast), outstanding views, comfy rooms and even friendly animals (make sure to meet Wilbur, the pot bellied pig). We stayed at Hill Farm for 2 nights and found it perfect for us - quiet & semi-secluded, but convenient to local attractions. For example, one day I went fly fishing with local guide Marty Oakland while my wife went shopping in nearby Manchester. The Normal Rockwell museum is close by, as are other galleries and museums. Bennington is 15-20 minutes down the road. And don't forget the awesome mountain scenery.
