From the moment you walk in, you feel as if you have stepped back in time to the Victorian era. Tom & Anita worked hard to cultivate the authenticity of the feel. They are very welcoming hosts and invite you to "make yourselves at home". Attention has been paid to detail, down to the homemade window treatments, the DVDs available to borrow, and the complementary shampoo/conditioner/lotion. The breakfasts are definitely the high point, and with a talented chef in the kitchen, it is no wonder! They are easily accommodating to taste buds, and are very willing to work with you. The colorful tales of the town that Anita relayed to us while Tom was busy in the kitchen make the meal enjoyable and fun; you feel like you are part of the history. This was a getaway weekend for us, and previous arrangements had been made for a dozen roses to be waiting upon our arrival. They are the most beautiful and largest blooming roses I have ever had the privilege of receiving, and they are still blooming well, 5 days later. This B&B is perfect for the romantic getaway, or the couple just looking to get away. Tom & Anita are very happy to see to your every need, and willing to help you plan your day (they pointed us in the right direction for Sunday worship, and drew us a map of good local wineries to visit, and which to avoid). We would definitely visit again! Thank you, Tom & Anita!
