We are not spoiled…just overly loved! This is exactly what my Mom and Dad do to all of their guests at Arsenic and Old Lace, including the guests’ pets. Once upon a time, we were owned by a backyard breeder in Florida. I am Alex a nine year old male and Mandy is twelve and is my “bff”, best friend forever. We were rescued and had a foster mom in Virginia that took care of us. About six years ago, we were adopted and moved into the Arsenic and Old Lace Bed & Breakfast. Needless to say, we have never been happier!
We just love the Inn, and would like to encourage you to bring your dog with you when you visit! We have certain rules for dogs, but just let Mom and Dad know when you make your reservation that you would like to bring your best friend along. They will go over all of the particulars and make sure that both you and your dog have a very special visit. Rooms that accommodate these visits are the Library Room and Patio Suite.

With prior agreement, your dog is welcome in the Log Cabin or Forest Edge Guest House at no extra charge. The Main Lodge is home to our pets, and we respect their domain. Our pets are not allowed in either the Log Cabin or Guest House.
Please bring your dog's bed so he/she will be comfortable and have something familiar. You are also welcome to use the 80+ acres for walking, running, playing with your pet but please keep them away from the horses. Being in a new place could be confusing for the pets. Should there be a problem, we may ask you to keep your pet inside or in our outside portable kennel, or on a leash.
Please know that our dogs, Chester and Oreo, have the run of the property; you decide if your pet is safe off leash.
Bring your horse(s) next spring/summer & they can stretch their legs in our 60ft corrals. Small charge applies.

We are allowing a small pet (weight limit of 35 lbs) to accompany you in your cabin for a fee of $25 Per Night. We are asking for Only Well Behaved animals that are trained and they must be on a leash at all times outside of the cabins. They must be crated (not provided)in your cabin if you ever leave them unattended if you do not have a crate you must not leave them unattended. If there is any additional damage caused by your pet you will be responsible and charged. Also, there is a resident pet, "Jean", our dog, that lives on site.
