Celebrate a century of Montpelier Christmases with special Candlelight Tours! Walk the candlelit path to the mansion gate, and learn about 19th-century Christmas traditions while exploring the home of James and Dolley Madison. Then warm up by a campfire with Civil War re-enactors while listening to stories and songs of the period. Finally, enjoy holiday music, wassail, wine, and light refreshments around the Christmas tree in the William duPont Gallery. Complimentary gift wrapping available for Museum Shop gifts. Tickets for Saturday's evening tour, open to the public, are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Children ages 6-14 are $5, and children 5 and under are free.
