For an entertaining evening and over-night stay, attend a Murder Mystery event and solve the mystery in the morning over a delightful candlelight gourmet breakfast.
You begin with an invitation in the mail describing the time, place, setting and the role you will play in a costume relating to the role. (We have many costume pieces for your use.)
Our presentation includes stuffed dummies, ghosts floating in the air or a body in the bathtub full of bubbles as examples of how far we go to authenticate the material. A lot of fun is had with props to add to the " mystery".

This mystery is set in the wine region of Napa Valley, California. Five years ago, Barry Underwood, owner of the prestigious Underwood Wine Estates, mysteriously disappeared during the valley’s annual wine festival. A massive search at the time failed to turn up any clues and the case has been in the FBI’s unsolved files since then.
Now, five years later, it is once again the annual wine festival in Napa Valley. Last night, family and friends gathered at he stately Underwood mansion to celebrate. At midnight, a minor earthquake shook the mansion, causing an old wooden floor in the wine cellar to buckle. Barry’s well preserved body was discovered under the cedar planks.
Enjoy an adult evening of mystery, intrigue, and delicious food - not to mention, GREAT ENTERTAINMENT & FUN! This is an interactive murder mystery party game in which you the guests for the evening become characters suspected of the crime in question. We will send you information on the character you will be playing along with suggestions of what your character might wear.

The Murder Mystery takes place at the Fuquay Mineral Spring Inn and Garden. It starts with a evening of wine and cheese at the Inn and Garden. The event will take one around Fuquay-Varina to local business for clues as you investigate.
Malcolm Melee owner of Melee Vineyard takes great pride in pouring his famous Cabernet, the wine that tickles the palates of wine connoisseurs around the globe. Over the past decade, his small operation has built a record of supplying a quality product, even though Melee's surly personality has produced more adversaries than advocates.
The celebration was open to the public and the assemblage included both his supporters and detractors, some of whom openly expressed their opinions about his business practices. Melee simply laughed off all negative words, even dismissing the notion that someone was determined to end his reign as cabernet king.
This event will have local business people from Fuquay-Varina will play roles and be part of the weekend event. The guests will take on the roles of investigators.

For 14 - 21 guests. Groups can choose whichever plot they wish from our list below. The specific rooms assigned to the group will depend on the number in the group. Cottages are not included.
One night mystery package includes overnight stay, dinner and breakfast
Regular rate for group mystery packages is $279 per room (two guests) for Saturday nights, $239 per room for other nights of the week. A third guest in a room is $85.
For group bookings, a 50% non-refundable deposit is due three months ahead of the mystery date, or at time of reservation if it is made less than three months in advance. Remaining balance is due 30 days before the mystery
All deposits should be considered non-refundable. If anybody in a group cancels, it is their responsibility to find somebody to take their place. If another person takes the place we will refund the original guest their deposits less a $25 handling charge.

We'll take you on an imaginary journey to California Wine Country o the annual wine-tasting festival. Suddenly the body of local vineyard owner, Barry Underwood, is found hidden beneath his wine cellar. Barry has been missing for 6 long years, but with the discovery of his body comes a wealth of new clues to solve the murder.

This is a typical evening at the Studio Commissary, where the most talented and photographed people in the world eat on a daily basis. The year is 1935, the golden age of film. Almost everyone here at the commissary is currently working in a film and may or may not be in costume. There is an extra added treat today. The Maharajah of Pradesh is here with at least one of his many wives. He will present Edmund Forthstone, the director of “The Jewel of Destiny” with the crown jewels of Pradesh, in time for Ruth Howard to wear them at the premier. Everyone from stand-ins, producers, production people, to big stars like Mary Pickers and Douglas Fallriver dine here. The press will of course be represented.
These are a few of the movies that are being filmed and you may see some actors in costume: “Tonto’s Revenge”, “Alice in Wonderland”, “ Society Waltz” and “The Jungle Man Fights Back.” “Jewel of Destiny” will be finishing some alternative endings before the premier next month.
