Sun Dried Tomato and Bacon Scones [rate this recipe]

2 1/2 cups All Purpose Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Dried Oregano
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Crushed Basil
1 Stick Butter
Sun Dried Tomatoes
4 Strips of Bacon Cooked and Chopped
2 Eggs
2 tbsp Milk
1/4 cup Sour Cream


1. Combine flour, baking powder, oregano, garlic powder, salt and crushed basil in a bowl

2. Add cubed butter to the mixture

3. Add sun dried tomatoes and bacon to your butter and herb mixture
In separate bowl mix eggs, milk, and sour cream

4. Make a well in the middle of your dry herb mixture; pour wet mixture into well and mix all ingredients together

5. Flour a work area and knead dough for 5-10 minutes

6. Separate dough into two equal pieces

7. Pat into flat circles and finally form to a square

8. Divide square into quarters

9. Cut quarters into triangles and place on baking sheet with parchment paper

10. Place into oven at 400 degrees fahrenheit for 5 minutes

11. Take scones out of oven and top with cheese

12. Place again in oven for 7-10 minutes or until lightly golden brown
