Directions: NJ Turnpike Exit # 4 (Camden) to Route 73 North. From Route 73 take Route 38 West to Route 30 West, follow signs to "Benjamin Franklin Bridge". When exiting bridge, stay in right lane and follow directions to 6th St. (Historic Area) at first light. Take 6th St. to Chestnut St. and turn left. Follow Chestnut St. to 2nd St. and turn right. One half block to Thomas Bond House on left. I-95 Northbound Exit# 16, Washington Avenue / Columbus Avenue. At end of ramp turn left onto Columbus Avenue. Continue north (5 lights) to Dock St. Turn left onto Dock St. go to Front St. (1 block). Make right onto Front St. Follow Front St. for one and one- half blocks to Philadelphia Parking Authority Garage on left side of street. Enter garage and park near the elevator. Take elevator to first floor. Exit onto Welcome Park, turn right. Thomas Bond House is on right, brick building with tan porch awning. I-95 Southbound Exit # 17, (1-676 East - Central Phila. Independence Hall). When exiting from 1-95 stay in right lane until you start going down the hill to Callowhill St, then change lanes to get into the left lane at the bottom of the ramp, at traffic light continue straight. This puts you onto 2nd St. Continue on 2nd St. to Thomas Bond House one half block beyond Chestnut St. on left. Harrisburg,Allentown, PA Tpke Take exit # 24 (Valley Forge) of the PA Turnpike and follow signs for 76 East (Schuylkill Expressway). Follow expressway for approximately 18 miles to the Central Phila. Vine St. Expressway (1-676). Take Expressway to Benjamin Franklin Bridge Exit off of 1-676. At bottom of ramp, go straight, following signs to Independence Park. This will put you on 6th St. Southbound. Take 6th St. to Chestnut St. and turn left. Follow Chestnut St. to 2nd St. and turn right. One half block to Thomas Bond House on left. |
