Directions: JFK Directions from JFK Airport By Car From Airport Exit, follow signs for Belt Parkway West, Brooklyn /Varanzanno Bridge. Follow the Belt parkway to Exit for Ocean Parkway North (right towards Manhattan, not towards the ocean) Follow Ocean Parkway north (the streets go down the alphabet starting from “Ave. Z” where you get on, and work their way up towards the beginning.) Turn right at Foster Ave. (the first Traffic Light after Ave. I ) Follow FOSTER ave till the 5th Traffic Light at Rugby Road Turn Right onto Rugby Rd. The first street (after 3 houses) is Dekoven Court. It is a dead end and you can only turn Left onto Dekoven. We are #30. From LaGuardia Airport by Car Take the Grand Central West towards Manhattan and exit for the BQE (Brooklyn-Queens Expressway) Take the BQE until the exit for the Prospect Park Expressway (PPE). (This exit is after the elevated roadway, after the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel Exit, and is on the left side of the Roadway.) The PPE turns into Ocean Parkway after you get to the first traffic light at Church ave. Take Ocean Parkway until Foster Ave Turn Left onto Foster Ave. Right turn at 5th Traffic Light RUGBY ROAD. First Left after 3 houses on DE KOVEN COURT #30. From LaGuardia by Subway/ Bus Take the M-60 Bus to Astoria Blvd in Queens and then change to the N train at Astoria station. Take the N train to Midtown/ 57th St /7th ave stop and switch to the “Q” train. Take the “Q” train all the way to Newkirk station (about 40 minutes) At Newkirk Station: Go up the station stairs and Exit the station on the left side doors. Turn left out of the doors and walk to the end of the plaza. At the end (Foster Ave and Chase Manhattan Bank) turn right on Foster Ave and walk one block to Rugby Rd. Cross to the other side of Foster at Rugby Rd and turn left on Rugby in the flow of traffic (It is a one way street). After 3 houses on Rugby, Left onto Dekoven Court #30. From JFK By Subway: http://www.nycsubway.org/maps/route/ Take the bus shuttle to the "A" train to Brooklyn. Get off at Franklin ave Station at the "S" train (Franklin Ave Shuttle) To the end of the line at Prospect ( 4 stops) Then take the "Q" line Downtown towards Coney Island, and get off at Newkirk station. Go up the station stairs and Exit the station on the left side doors. Turn left out of the doors and walk to the end of the plaza. At the end (Foster Ave and Chase Manhattan Bank) turn right on Foster Ave and walk one block to Rugby Rd. Cross to the other side of Foster at Rugby Rd and turn left on Rugby in the flow of traffic (It is a one way street). After 3 houses on Rugby, Left onto Dekoven Court #30. The Franklin Ave shuttle ("S" train, is not a new train and the neighborhood is not the best) IF you take a taxi, it will be about $25... Tell the driver to take you to Foster Ave and Coney Island Ave. From Coney Island Rugby is the 3rd light towards Ocean Ave. He will turn Right onto Rugby Rd and first Left onto Dekoven Court, #30. By SUBWAY from Manhattan By train from Grand Central take the 4, 5 or 6 train Downtown to 14th St. Union Square station (First stop on the 4 or 5 train; 4th stop on the 6). Change at Union Square to the "Q" train Downtown to Brooklyn. Get off at Newkirk Station in Brooklyn. Exit the station (which is in the middle of a plaza) on the left side and walk to your left to the end of the plaza at Foster Ave. Turn right on Foster and walk 1 block to the traffic light at Rugby rd. Turn left onto Rugby and walk 1/2 blk. Turn Left onto Dekoven Ct. and we are at #30. |
