This beautifully landscaped and gated Estate home surrounded by vineyards is just 2 miles from the historic Sonoma Plaza where 20 wine tasting rooms are within a 10 minute drive. The home is very large with optional seating areas inside and out. It has 4 bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths, enormous living room, formal dining room, eat in fully equipped kitchen, family room with tv, den with tv and recently remodeled bathrooms.  The outdoors is breathtaking with beautiful landscape and water features. The back yard has an outdoor kitchen and BBQ, full size tennis court (and pickle ball) , bocce ball court, heated (May-September) swimming pool, hot tub, and a 30' Viking table for outdoor dining. In the Pool House there is a combo ping pong/billiards table, tv, bathroom and a small gym. Outdoor music and twinkle lights set the stage for memorable wine country dinners.

In the heart of the Sonoma wine country, Himmel House is a comfortable and tastefully appointed home at the end of a private drive in Kenwood, California. A tranquil retreat from the clamor and hustle of everyday life, Himmel House is a perfect getaway for one or two couples. 
 
It’s called Himmel, meaning “Sky,” because when you are on the property—relaxing by the pool, sipping wine on the patio, or watching the sunset on the terrace—you feel that the sky is yours alone. There is nothing between you, and the clouds and the stars, and nothing to obstruct your view from the rolling hillsides dotted with oaks in the distance. At night, only the sounds of crickets and frogs and the occasional owl in the distance break the silence.
 
The house itself is lovely; with abundant natural light, stylish yet relaxed furnishings, original art, and thoughtful amenities to add to your comfort. Wine enthusiasts and nature lovers will find Himmel House convenient to a 10-mile stretch of wine tasting on Sonoma Highway, and hiking through the Mayacamas Mountains, Sugarloaf Park, Annadel State Park, or Jack London State Historic Park.
